This is an amazing story of the discovery of a time capsule stored deep in inside a canyon wall for over a millenniom. The wingmakers left behind 23 cambers of artifacts consisting of paintings, poetry, music, and philosophies and enigmatic technolgies that the most powerful organization on earth can not decipher or activate.

FREE ARTWORK FOR YOUR ALBUM COVER Only a rare and lucky few make any kind of a living from art - so rather than hitting my head against a brick wall, I decided to just make art for the pleasure and fun of it and stop worrying about sales. It means I'm free from commercial considerations and a wider public get to view and use my art in any way they like so long as it isn't for profit. Friends have said that my artwork would make good album covers, so if you're in a band and thinking of making a demo, why not check it out. Please email me first with a request and remember I do retain copyright. If nothing else you could always put one of my pics on your desktop - they make great wallpaper too.

"Riddles of Indian Rockshelter Paintings is an unique contribution to the studies of prehistoric Indian rock art. It explodes the deep rooted myths and misconceptions of rock art. The work for the first time cautions the scholars to keep distance from unreasonable assumptions and unchecked imaginations, as these have blurred the significance of our splendid heritage. The book provides a deep scientific insight to the reader to look one of the most interesting creations of early man, in its correct perspective." (jacket) [S.K. I am an artist currently working on a series of pieces that are thematic on ancient images. I am in need of excellent photography of deeply incised, detailed, highly sculptural rockart (as opposed to paintings or 2 dimensional peckings through surface varnish). Any information that anyone could supply (Sources of photography, names of museums containing such work, names and/or locations of particular sites or glyphs of this type, titles of books containing photos of this type rockart, names of organizations or individuals who could provide additional information)would be greatly appreciated. The provenance or location of the work is not important. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help via my email address.

Something old/Something new. A different perspective on painted rocks..."Painted Rock Formations". Nature's sculpture/My painting...no files or chisels, guaranteed. The natural formation of the rock inspired the painting you see. In searching the web for other artists who might do what I do,I found no one...but I did find you...Respectfully Submitted...Ginia A.D.

I do volunteer work re-recording rock alignments in the desert (SW USA). There is not much material on these designs in books. If anyone "out there" knows of books which mention or discuss RA's, I would like to know of them. Not the too-well-known Blythe intaglios, please, though. Thanks...

In support of the efforts of Rock Art Net and all the others who have dedicated webspace to sharing petroglyph photos, etc. This is to announce yet another web site towards fulfilling these goals. This website describes and shows photographically, what we believe to be a new, never documented before petroglyph location in central New Mexico (USA); west of the well known El Cerro de Los Lunas site, and approx. 45 miles southwest of Petroglyph National Monument. It is also believed that this petroglyph site may hold the first Paleo-Indian style petroglyph to be found in the Southwestern United States. Currently, there are approx. 60 photos available for viewing. I plan to include another 50 or so from over 300 on file. Again, we support your efforts and, truly hope that you enjoy this new website.

I have a rock (petrified wood) that was found by my husband near Mt.Arrarat in 1974. In 1976 I took this wood to a college in Rolla, MO to have it dated and it dated back to Noah's Ark. I don't know what to do with this find and I feel it could be a very important find. Any suggestions?

In the interests of accuracy, please note that your URL http://rupestre.net/orme/works/marree.html states that the "Marree Man" is "anthropologically inaccurate", but this has been shown, some time ago, to be incorrect. See, for example, http://www.ufomind.com/place/au/marree. "Hunter" would also be a better description than "warrior".
